VIPA TECH is an Australian owned and family operated business by Greg and Diane Childs with sixty-five years between them, of experience and knowledge with horse riding and being safe.
Greg rode as a Jockey for thrity-one years with great success having ridden over 2100 winners throughout his career including two Jockeys Permerships as well as winning Australia’s major Group 1 races including 2 Caulfield Cups, 2 Cox Plates on the Champion Race Horse Sunline, 2 Australian Cups, 4 Derbys, 9 Oaks and many more major wins. Greg also rode winners in New Zealand (where he begain his riding career) Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubia and America.
In 2005 after a lot of research and many proto-types Greg designed the VIPA Body Protector using all of his fourty years of horse experience, working and race riding, and with a few race falls along the way he knew excatly what was needed for protection. Using the lastest technology in selecting the shock absorbing foam to absorb and reduce impact Greg decided on a Nitrex closed cell PVC foam. The material used to cover the Nitrex foam, is a light weight Air Mesh chosen for its wear, strength and ventilation capabilities createing the ultimate in comfort for Body Protection. The Vipa Body Protector is now sold throughout the World and is well received by horse riders.
